We rarely see Australian indigenous artwork on this side of the Tasman, so as we reset to ‘recovery mode’ after a busy Auckland Art Fair Tim Melville is pleased to present a fresh and broad-ranging exhibition of Aboriginal painting from across Australia.
Colour Field includes new works sourced from our recent visit to the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair presented alongside pieces from Tim’s personal collection. The exhibition also features works on paper, canvas and bark consigned from three remote Aboriginal Art Centres: Warakurna Arts near Alice Springs, Warmun Art in the East Kimberley and Buku-Larrngay Mulka at Yirrkala in Arnhem Land.
